Don't let a photographer spoil your day!

I think most photographers forget that it's not their shoot - it's your wedding. No one's there because they want to have pictures taken. They're there to get married and have a blast, and that's all!

The wedding photographer's job is to tell the story with fabulous images and not get in anyone's way or have any one standing about bored for ages. They mustn't make you late for dinner either because you've just paid out a pile of money to have a chef create you a wonderful meal. The photographer should take care of you and should be able to act as a kind of un-official master of ceremonies and, when needed, a counselor as well. However many guests you may have, your wedding photographer should be able to walk right in and relate to each and every one as though he's (or she's) known everyone for ever. In short, a wedding photographer has to be a much loved friend of the family to everyone at your wedding.

Sound like a tall order? It is a bl**dy tall order - but that's the job. That's what I get paid to do. And you know what?

I love it!

yeah - been there and had an alright'ish photographer but she didn't realy fit in. The photos in her portfolio looked good so we booked. But looking back we should have checked out her personality as well!
